Breastfeeding fact of the week! March (week 2) 2016.

Breastfeeding protects against cavities!

Passion Flower1 opt

Beware the misguided advice that you need to wipe your 6 month old baby's teeth after each feeding. The last thing you want to do is wake a blissfully sleeping baby! Breast milk's bacteria fighting cells actually help prevent tooth decay. Unlike bottle-feeding, where babies are at increased risk for baby bottle-related cavities, breastfed babies can be left alone after falling into that deep nirvana sleep at the breast without worry!
